Sporovid family

The sporovid family consists of fungus-like creatures that often can produce spores.
Members
Aggregating Poofspore

Aggregating Poofspores are harmless on their own but become very dangerous in groups. They can form a massive colony controlled by a Queen Poofspore.
Bioluminescent Puffstool

The Bioluminescent Puffstool is a glowing sporovid that is completely harmless and beneficial to keep alive.
Funghoul
- Main article: Funghoul
The Funghoul is an elusive sporovid that, upon being seen, climbs to a high vantage point and stalks its prey for a while, eventually jumping down behind it. It lands with a soft "thud" and soon after charges at its prey, grabbing it and lighting it ablaze. It can be defeated in a single hit, but it always comes back. If killed, it collapses into spores and turns the ground around it into mycelium, which regrows into a new Funghoul soon after.
Glowling

Glowlings are small, slender sporovids that mimic the appearance of Common Glowcaps. It is completely harmless and will run away when approached.
Moldstool

The Moldstool is a close relative of the Puffstool that differentiates itself by having a warty green cap instead of a smooth red cap. They release mold that converts Pikmin into Moldmin upon contact. Although passive they will become more hostile when their health reaches certain increments.
Peacap Puffstalk

The Peacap Puffstalk is much like the Puffstalk but walks around instead of emerging from holes.
Plishroom

Plishrooms are sporovids that tackle Pikmin and leaders but are otherwise completely harmless. They are related to the Puffstool.
Powerstool

The Powerstool can use fire and electricity to defend itself from attackers. Like the Puffstool, it can turn Pikmin into Mushroom Pikmin, making it a formidable foe.
Puffair

Puffairs are airborne sporovids that can be used as platforms to reach higher areas or otherwise unreachable locations.
Puffire

The Puffire is a relative of the Puffstool that uses fire to repel its attackers and cannot infect Pikmin.
Puffrex

The Puffrex is a larger, more aggressive relative of the Puffstool. It has the ability to launch spore bombs that bounce around and eventually burst into a cloud of spores that can turn Pikmin into Mushroom Pikmin.
Puffstalk

The Puffstalk is a harmless creature that comes out of holes.
Puffstool

The Puffstool is a normally harmless boss that, when threatened, is capable of converting Pikmin into Mushroom Pikmin by releasing spores.
Reprobate

The Reprobate is a rather amorphous sporovid that can attach wildlife, flora, Pikmin, and even other sporovids to its body. These creatures are both forced to attack for it and act as its food source. It can also attack by shooting balls of spores that explode into clouds of the classic spores used by most other sporovids. Any creatures killed on its body will sink into it, opening it up to attack as long as the player is careful to whistle their Pikmin back quickly. They can be found floating in water, crawling on walls and ceilings, attached to walls, walking around, and smaller ones even flying.
