The Goliath Long Legs is the final boss of Pikmin 3: Return to the Pikmin Planet, found on sublevel twenty of the Titan's Trench. The Goliath Long Legs has the appearance of a Raging Long Legs but with eight legs. The body is a bit smaller and is just high enough to be out of reach by swarming and the captains. Its body carries the weapons, and, like its black feet, slowly turns into the rustic brownish color of the Beady Long Legs' and changes color to represent the attack it is about to use. Despite its position as the final boss, it is only the second hardest boss.

When Louie, Olimar, and Sagittarius reach the Finale Forest, where the thieves have hidden the President, they notice that the ground is clawed and has footprints similar to those of the Raging Long Legs, and shed arachnorb skin is everywhere. What's more, every creature there is already dead. The captains are confused, and overcome several obstacles to find the source of the carnage as well as the President. At the end of the trials, they find an arena with a lone cave. The ship mentions cries of several species and a large amount of pounding and roaring. At the bottom of the cave, they see the Goliath Long Legs: the creature causing all the trouble.

This boss has several weapons like the Titan Dweevil, but there are more, and each weapon can only be removed by Pikmin not immune to it. They are as follows:

  • Liquid Flame: a lighter fluid container with matches strung around it. It will douse some matches in it and toss them all around randomly. It is somewhat hard to avoid, and the creature sends out more after the weapon is sufficiently damaged. The matches can be taken as treasure after the flames die down.
  • Tsunami Spitter: a large water gun. It will shoot out a large amount of water in a wavelike fashion, and horizontally rotate as it is used. When it has been sufficiently damaged, it will move farther.
  • Happy Gas: appears to be some kind of bomb. It is purple with a big smiley face on it. It sends out three large streams of poison, and when sufficiently damaged, the streams widen. On it is text reading "U.S. Army".
  • Power Plug: an electrical outlet with a key in it. The key will move, sending wires everywhere that will connect to each other like electrical wires, only there are more and they are wider.
  • Tornado Guster: a giant fan. It is the easiest weapon and more of an annoyance than a danger. It will blow a big gust of wind, knocking off petals and blowing Pikmin over.
  • Acid Pipe: a sewer drain that leaks instantly lethal acid. When the Goliath Long Legs uses this weapon and walks about, it will trail acid behind it. When the Acid Pipe is sufficiently damaged, the creature will move more rapidly while using it.
  • Freeze Slider: a small mini fridge. When it opens, four blocks of ice will slide out. When they hit walls, they will split into two smaller pieces. This repeats until it is too small to see.
  • Villainous Justice: the torso, head, and arms of a toy robot. It can shoot bullets like the Man-at-Legs out of both its arms in different directions, so it can hit two captains at once.

In addition to using its weapons, the Goliath Long Legs can also crush Pikmin under its feet, and its body by crashing down on them. As well, when it shakes before or during an attack, a bomb rock or swarm of Mitites may appear from it. When a weapon is off and untouched for some time, the Goliath Long Legs will use its crushing attack like it does to hurt Pikmin on the weapon to pick it up again. Once all weapons are successfully knocked off, attack it again to remove the armor. Finally, drain the health one last time and it will be unable to attack. It will scamper around by the current captain in a panic, and plop down. A timer will appear above it, and when it ends there will be a colossal explosion, killing all the Pikmin in its range.

Attacks Weaponizes objects to electrocute, blow around, and drown Pikmin

The Goliath Dweevil is a boss in Pikmin: Redemption. It resembles a cross between a Titan Dweevil and a Raging Long Legs but with six legs, a pair of wings, six weapons, and slightly larger. It is encountered initially in the final cave in the Facility, Genetics Lab Alpha, and later again in the Tower of Babil. During the second fight, it carries weapons that are fun to watch function and destroy.

Three of its six weapons are as follows:

  • Lively Lust: the creature throws out what appears to be a shiny treasure in the direction it is facing. It is electrified, instantly killing any Pikmin that are not Yellow Pikmin upon contact. When sufficiently damaged, it produces an electrical shockwave when thrown that can kill Pikmin, but there is a twenty-five percent chance that it will only stun Pikmin.
  • Gale Force: the Goliath Dweevil pulls out and activates a small fan. The problem is that once activated, it grows larger and traps leaders and Pikmin inside of it. While avoiding the blades, carefully throw a Pikmin into the motor in the center of the fan, where all of the fan blades meet, to escape. When sufficiently damaged, the blades spin slightly faster and the motor is electrified.
  • Hydro Cannon: it picks up a miniature water faucet. Water erupts from the ground and into the mouth of the faucet, which begins to rumble and shoots out high-density balls of water at Pikmin, killing them instantly.
