The Hammer Seed is a species of Power Pod appearing in Pikmin: Neo. It is a small purple flowering plant, roughly the same size as Olimar. The center of the flower contains a large block-shaped structure with a leaf-like appendage coming out of it. They usually are found in snowy or rocky areas and are typically found in small groups. Each bulb can be harvested allowing for the cultivation and collection of Hammer Nectar. Hammer Nectar is a black honey-like substance that can be sprayed over all available Pikmin on the field. When applied the nectar changes their flowers to resemble a hammer similar to the structure in the center of the Hammer Seed's flowers. This makes them much slower, but their attack power is doubled. This temporary power is great for quickly killing dangerous enemies if movement isn't a strongsuit of your playstyle.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “These plants gained a tough outer flower that contains a wax allowing it to remove any particulate matter. This allows it to live in harsh climates such as artic and mountanous biomes. Its central seed pod stores water in case moisture is scarce which is often the case for where it lives.”
Louie's notes
- “Inedble. The bulb is too tough to consume and is hard as a rock.”
