The Lesser Swampy Bulboar is a juvenile grub-hog appearing in Pikmin: Neo. They have a gray face and brown hide, yellowed teeth, and due to being juveniles of the Swampy Bulboar, also have stubby snouts. These young bulboars are hidden by their parents in the mud of the swamps they inhabit before they go off in search of food. Their position is indicated by the stream of small bubbles they produce while buried in the mud. They ambush trespassers and begin biting them to ward them off. During the night, they stay in and patrol small dens made by their parents, and should they spot an intruder, they will yell for them, alerting them of danger. Aside from these quirks, they are quite simple to take down, only needing a modest strategy to defeat without casualties.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “These young members of swamp-dwelling bulboar are born with a thin membrane that gives their skin a smooth and shiny appearance and is used to protect them from suffocating in the mud they live in while their parents are out hunting. As they age, this membrane is absorbed into their skin, giving them a spongey texture.”
Louie's notes
- “Inedible. The membrane is too wet to enjoy.”
