The Fishy News: Issue 5Today, April 2nd of 2021, marks the ten year anniversary of my having joined the Pikmin Fanon on this day in 2011, back from when I was only ten years old. I'm twenty years old now, and I am very grateful a fan site such as this one exists and am even more grateful that Pikmin, as well as its community, exists. I've met so many wonderful and creative people over the years, and want to thank you all for the good times and the amazing ideas. This site was and still is a big part of my life, and it means so much to me. I know the Pikmin Fanon currently may not be the most visually appealing, what with the broken article and file links, but I hope it's all sorted out in the near future so that new members can enjoy a clean, organized, consistently-structured Pikmin Fanon, maybe even after I'm no longer part of this world many long years from now. Again, I thank you all for the good times, whether you're an active user here or just a user browsing the wiki anonymously, and I wish you all the best, especially in these grueling times. And if you're an anonymous individual perusing the Pikmin Fanon, I wish you the best also and I hope you like what you see on this stellar website. Also, I'm taking a small break from the Pikmin Fanon to focus on other things in my life, and I'll be back to editing in a few days. Happy editing, and take care. Grocery ListI was checking the Recent Changes and saw that you had edited a page I had never heard of before, the To Do List. Maybe we should move it to the Main Page? I don't think the main page has been updated in a while... Maybe also some kind of joke section that gets updated weekly, like: "What do you call a cross between a Grub-Dog and a citrus lump? An Orange Bulborb!" I'm Ok. I was thinking that the joke section would kinda seem a bit inviting. I'm just eyeball itfair, but both of the ocular terrors have the name of _____ Orodye. Furthermore, the Birther Orodye was in the Ocular Terror family. Also, what happened to the other two? It says there are four Ocular Terrors, but I can only find two. Also, shouldn't that apply to other creatures that have fused into one or share an enemy page due to teaming up permanently and never being seen without the other that are in different families? I'm Currently as far as I can tell, there are no such examples. However, it isn't unthinkable that multiple sapient creatures could pack-bond and work together, never being seen apart. Perhaps a new user will create just such a pair or more of creatures. We certainly have the capabilities as humans to do so. I honestly prefered the old master rank icons, because these new oes just look like someone just put them in MS paint and used paint bucket with purple. Maybe some form of spicy spray appearance would be better. Not only that, but All implies that you can get a rank before getting the one previous, and that you simply need to obtain all the ranks and not do anything special. Perhaps Onion rank would make more sense. Lastly, What about a new rank entirely: Nectar Rank. You have not only improved your own writing but have helped others around you! I'm Jeopardy!Hey, I realized that there was no category for enemies that help out other enemies, like the Powerasite family and the Foundation Dweevil. Can I make one? Also, there's no category for enemies that copy other enemies, like the Plasm Wraith, most mimic enemies, the Spitball Dweevil, and the Shifty Elementick. Can I make one for that, too? I'm Kay. I'm But there IS a need for the Enemy-harming enemies category! That IS quite important, and that knowledge can have quite the impact on somebody's playthrough! For example: the Volatile Dweevil can knock the Foundation Dweevil off balance, and as such, with good timing, you could finish a speedrun much quicker! That could mean the difference between a world record and a new personal best! I'm Sure, but unlike the Pikmin, who can have wildly different abilities that aren't necessarily dependent on their color, each version of an enemy doesn't have a new page, because the differences are usually very minor, like spawn location, or health. If ANY version of the enemy can harm another, the enemy in general should be labelled as such. If an enemy already has a certain attribute but not certain others, you can be certain that somebody will eventually create a version with all of it's other attributes. I'm Cool. Also, I have a wildly different idea for Magenta Pikmin. Is it okay for me to make it a Misc article? I'm Almost forgot, if you're vorking on cleaning up the Pikmin family category, you should start by either lumping all the Ice/Cyan/Light Blue/Snow/Whatever Pikmin into one page, or moving the articles from the Pikmin Family category into the Pikmin family category. Somehow somebody made a whole new category without anybody correcting them until it was really big. I'm Re: InspirationSorry, I know. I don't actually know how to do much more complex "fancy brackets" coding than a sig, so I actually do just copy and paste other stuff and then change it so it looks how I want it. Basically, in each area of Pikmin: Dual Worlds, there, whenever a new Rock Pikmin is sprouted from an Onion, there is a 1/10 chance that it will be a rare variation of a Rock Pikmin that has a different texture based on the surrounding environment. For example, in Latitude Lavaflow, you would maybe get a magma textured one, or in Quinacridone Quarry you'd get a lavenderish gemstone textured one. No functional differences, just texture changes, but it could be cool for a new player to the series who thinks that "Oh, this game can't be cool, my mom bought it for me," only to realize "Hey, this is kinda fun! Hold on, that Rock Pikmin is different! That's so cool!" kinda like those old video game easter eggs you'd find by chance. One- actually, two problems, but we'll get to that later, should I do interesting rocks from the area in general, or gems/ semiprecious stones? Now for the second one, should I do a rare Rock variant for the Dark version of Infinite Ivory, known as Ebony Empire, which is the final area of the game, and have there just be two 20 Pellets in Ivory so that you can use one in Ivory and one, after making it through the absolutely grueling maze, in Ebony, or should I throw out that second 20 pellet entirely and just put a 50 pellet there? I know I was active today, but that was because I wanted to take care of things that needed attention. I suppose that if it wasn't obvious already, I do take periodic breaks from this wiki, although that doesn't mean I don't keep an eye on this place. So if I disappear, that's probably what's happening. But fret not, I'm never gone for long. When I come back to editing in a few days, I'll be clearing up several articles I need to look at, including two company articles, location articles pertaining to Pikmin: The Return of the Puffmin, unused content articles, starting with the Stamping Long Legs' and then some other unused content articles, a collection of other location articles, the hazards pages I need to finish up at some point, and lastly, other miscellaneous articles I come across that need cleaned up. I'll even get back to updating and detailing Pikmin: Wide World content because, man, I'm passionate about working on it, even if I do get burnt out on it. I have a wide selection of enemies that have notes written for them and are ready to have their articles officially have a section for their appearance in my proudest Pikmin-related project. I like to do things this way, through notes, so I can prepare my notes for everything in my game before I get to writing the articles or sections themselves so I can have all the information I need prepared, organized, and ready to go, which makes writing easier and faster. Get excited, because there will soon be much to read over! I will also be fixing other little minor things with Pikmin: Wide World because I want the game to be absolutely perfect. I'm Ok so minor problemI think you broke the Infobox: Enemy template and now things are no longer in their assigned families. Most obviously, the Breadbug and Grub-dog families have well below a third of their total members. I'd guess about half or even more of our total enemy count has been removed from their families. IdeaPellet cannon – I'm Small questionI have tried uploading svg files, but each time it prevents me from doing so and yet says I can upload them for some reason. What is the cause of this error? - MPA(Talk) Weird glitchSo I was playing Fortress of Festivity in Pikmin 3 Deluxe and for some reason my Purple Pikmin carrying an apple in a corner hadn't been getting it out for some reason. Around the 27 minute mark of After Hours, I had noticed when I put 9 Winged Pikmin and a White Pikmin, they were actually lifting it INTO the corner instead of carrying it out, even after I managed to make Brittany nudge it out of the corner. And I'll fix a typo. - MPA(Talk) yeahI fell down a few days ago while walking at school and hit my elbow and knee. I was a lot more sensitive than my classmates, I was in a lot of pain and I came walking to my teacher crying and we eventually put an ice pack on it. Later that day I checked both in the bathroom, my knee was normal but I noticed my elbow had a huge cut on it. I immediately told the teachers and we put bandages on it a few times. It has healed a bit already, and school ended today, also I got to buy new markers so it'll be easier to draw good images and atleast I'm happier now. I'm going to our vacation home with my grandparents in a few days, so don't expect me to be online for some time.
