The Freezecake has an underside covered by frigid, icy stones. It sits in silence, occasionally sticking its eyestalks out, and when Pikmin or leaders come near, it will rotate onto its side, and, after a short delay, fall flat in the same direction, attempting to crush or freeze its prey. If the Freezecake lands on its icy side, it releases a burst of frost around itself. Regardless of its position, it will always die belly-up. Despite its appearance, the Freezecake's body is soft enough to be damaged normally.

Frosty is the Freezecake that appears in Pikmin: Antarctic Survival. Frosty is one of the game's three Shellcakes, which are all native to the Chilly Valley and uniquely only appear in the area once the Diamond Settlement's level reaches at least 2, being unable to be encountered before then.
Frosty has the ability to use the ice hazard at will, which allows her to learn to craft ice-related materials: reinforced snow bricks and sight ice. This potential skill makes her much more useful to have as a resident than the other two shellcakes, since shellcakes cannot carry objects at all due to how they move, and are generally not very helpful despite how highly they view themselves.
Like the other shellcakes, Frosty has a sense of superiority, viewing herself as better than other creatures, and considering Shellcakes in general to be above others. She loves to show off and use her ice abilities to make herself look cool, literally and figuratively. Frosty also notably has a bit of a prankster's streak, as she likes to cause trouble and play pranks on unassuming residents, which often involve sudden cold. Frosty used to live with the other two shellcakes, but at some point, the three of them got into an argument over which one of the three was the best, which led to the three of them splitting up and going their separate ways. For this reason, the three Shellcakes are all encountered and Awakened independently of each other in the Chilly Valley.
Frosty's name, as is the case for the other two shellcakes, is a direct reference to the name of a powerful Pikmin character from one of the game creator's much earlier games which was created all the way back in around 2009. Frosty specifically draws her name from a powerful Blue Pikmin of the same name, who harnessed powerful water and ice abilities and was the commander of all Blue Pikmin in that game's world.
