Candle Phosbat Pods will spit out Candle Phosbats. After five are spawned, they will close up until another Candle Phosbat is killed. Upon destruction, the pod will melt into a highly volatile tar; which will explode upon being touched by any hazard. Goo Pikmin should be used, as they are immune to explosions, and clean tar.

Molotov Phosbats are the adult version of Candle Phosbats. These creatures are covered in smooth, red fur, and have large, feline ears. Along with sucking up Pikmin to consume them; Molotov Phosbats will spit out their flammable saliva which will light up the arena. This fire will burn all captains and Pikmin, but wont harm other juvenile Phosbats. The saliva can be destroyed by Red Pikmin. The Phosbat can be disorientated by detonating or having Goo Pikmin throw bomb rocks near it. But to fully weigh it down, Pikmin must build a funnel to throw a bomb rock in; which will amplify the noise and make the Phosbat fall down.
The Molotov Phosbat ignites itself and has combustible saliva.
