The Terrordactyl is the boss of the Lost Land. It is purple with blue wings and demonic yellow eyes. Even though it has sharp teeth, it prefers to drop rocks and bombs on Pikmin instead. This beast flies very high up in the air and it never comes down. The boulders it drops will shatter and smaller, bu still harmful, boulders will be rolling aroung the cave. Olimar and his wife can punch these boulders also. It will occasionally drop Bomb-Rocks and sometimes a Giant Bomb-rock, which has twice the range of a normal bomb. The only way to reach it up high is by a using a new gimmick called the Pikapult. The only way to use is to have one Pikmin (besides a Purple Pikmin) on the end of the catapult. Then you throw a Purple on the other end of the device and watch the Pikmin soar. Once the Terrordactyl dies, you can take its body back for a whopping 50 seeds!

Once the Terrordactyl dies, its body can be taken to an Onion for fifty seeds.
The only way to kill it is by weighing it down with Pikmin and then throwing more on it. You need to have good aim and good timing to use the Pikapult. Repeat the process until it's dead.

Trivia
The Terrordactyl also has a dark matter-infused variant, which is known as the "Dark Terrordactyl". The Dark Terrordactyl appears only in the Galactic Warpzone, the final cave, and it is a much stronger version of the Terrordactyl that has much more health, faster and deadlier attacks, and the ability to use a new, unique attack in addition to its existing ones.
The Terrordactyl is a pun on the words terror and pteradactyl.

The Terrordactyl is a boss in Pikmin: The After Years that is first encountered on Lost Land's final sublevel, and later refought in Remembrance Ravine. It has purple, scaly skin, yellow eyes, claws on its fingers and toes, wings with blue membranes, and an elongated mouth full of sharp teeth. Despite having claws and teeth that would give it a definite edge in combat, it prefers to attack Pikmin and leaders from the air by dropping boulders, occasionally bomb rocks, and rarely giant bomb rocks onto them rather than eating them. The boulders the Terrordactyl drops crumble into small, but still dangerous, rocks upon hitting the ground and roll about the cave until they break, either over time or when punched by Olimar or his wife; the bomb rocks simply begin their countdown sequence and eventually explode as normal. The only way to reach the Terrordactyl is through the use of a pikapult, by throwing Pikmin onto the black spoon and then flinging them at the beast by throwing a Purple Pikmin onto the opposite end. When enough Pikmin are on the Terrordactyl, it will crashland and be helpless until it shakes them off and takes to the skies again. Once the Terrordactyl dies, its body can be taken to an Onion for fifty seeds.
