The Crypt of Enigma is the second sub-area in the Defiled Grounds and the final sub-area in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze overall. These dark and mysterious catacombs hold many secrets, most importantly some coordinates alluding to the true nature of the distress signal from the beginning of the game; these coordinates lead to the final area in the game, The Crater. Aside from this, the Crypt of Enigma is a long and tough dungeon full of strong enemies and strange phenomena, which will require coordinated use of all Pikmin types to survive through. Notably, unlike other sub-areas, the Crypt of Enigma's layout is never quite the same, and randomly selects from a large pool of floors each time it is explored, with a couple of random mini-boss rematches thrown in.
