|Sub-Surface Construct, Jungle of Trickery, Crypt of Enigma
The Explosive Ticka is an enemy appearing in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. Taking the role of the Volatile Dweevil, the Explosive Ticka is a creature that manages to mimic a bomb rock even more perfectly than its predecessor. Until awakened, all that is visible of the beast's true appearance is its tail, and once approached, it crawls after Pikmin and leaders, exploding after a few seconds. Take caution when exploring areas that contain these, especially because of their tendency to fall from the ceiling.

|Plateau of Eternity
The Explosive Ticka appears in Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid, resembling its Pikmin X: Deep Freeze incarnation. They lie on the ground face-down, resembling standard bomb rocks, with their wispy tail being the only indicator of their true identities. When approached, they'll reveal themselves and begin lurching towards Pikmin and leaders. They can not be harmed, and will detonate after a set few seconds. An Ice Blast will briefly nullify the Explosive Ticka and reset its timer, even if it can not be frozen outright.
- “A species of crab-like insectoid with a volatile fluid coursing through its veins instead of blood. This substance, comparable to a mixture of sulfuric acid and methane, heats it internally and allows it to survive in varied climates. However, extraneous movements can irritate this curious creature's internal fluids, often with explosive results.”
- “While the taste of its explosive internal fluids is favorably comparable to nacho cheese, it's nonetheless explosive. My throat has been scarred, and my tummy is still rolling...”
- “OH MY WORD...!”
- “WHAT THE–?”
