An ice vent is an obstacle that occasionally spews frost, freezing exposed Pikmin while doing so. It can be attacked by any Pikmin type while it isn't expelling frost.

Ice jets are obstacles in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze that are functionally similar to fire geysers, but periodically spray flurries of frigid air instead, and may also be mounted on walls as well as the ground. Ice jets can not be destroyed, only avoided; when carrying objects past them, leaders must either time their Pikmins' movements properly or use Moss Pikmin.

Pikmin caught in the emission will be frozen solid. However, Ice Pikmin can be used to take out and disable the geyser. Some ice geysers permanently eject out ice and cannot be taken out.
