Clipboard The icon used to represent this obstacle.

The clipboard is an obstacle in the form of a board or metal plate with a clip at the top.

In Pikmin 3, Winged Pikmin can lift one, using the clip as a handle, to reveal something concealed underneath or reposition it into a makeshift bridge.

In Pikmin 4, clipboards are propped up and must have Pikmin thrown at them to weigh them down, allowing passage across. Clipboards with a standard gray clip can be reached by any Pikmin type, while those with a clip with yellow markings can be reached only by Pikmin that have a great throw height.

In fanon games

Below this point is where users place their version of clipboards.

Clipboards are a returning obstacle in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. They can be found covering cave entrances, treasures, or enemies. The only way to clear a clipboard is by using Winged Pikmin to lift it up and reveal its contents. Iguana Pikmin can use their tongues to move the clipboard as well, although it is a much slower process.
