The Power Candypop Bud is the final candypop bud species to be discovered in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds. It is a rainbow-colored candypop, the colors on its petals constantly swirling and twisting, making it ever more mysterious. there exists only a single Power Candypop Bud, and it is used to propagate Ultima Pikmin. It is hidden cleverly on the one-hundred-and-oneth sublevel of the Chasm of Challenges and regenerates on every visit until twenty-five Ultima Pikmin have been amassed. Leaders that stand next to the Power Candypop Bud for too long will begin to lose health, as alluded to in Louie's notes.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “This is a candypop bud of yet another type. The rarest of all candypops, this type has only recently evolved through the process of DNA mixing. Strange is that it has multiple colors on it, however, they shift. Possible explanations include that, perhaps, skin cells are being moved by the plant's interior liquids. The cells then dive under the outer skin cells, then reappear at the edge of the plant. Oddly enough, when Pikmin are tossed in the center of the plant, you may expect to see a rainbow-colored Pikmin. However, recent studies prove that the expelled Pikmin are crystalline, and these Pikmin are far more powerful than any other color, thus being dubbed "ultima Pikmin".”
Louie's notes
- “Inedible. Even plucking a part of this rare plant may cause symptoms of vomiting, dry eyes, fever, itchy throat, runny nose, headache, toothache, dizziness, and aching bones.”
