In addition to eating [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]], the Twisted Sheargrub can also create a flammable chemical in its abdomen, which it uses to defend itself from attackers. It combusts when exposed to oxygen, causing its hide to be cloaked in [[fire]] and giving the Twisted Sheargrub the ability to spew a jet of flames from its mouth. The Twisted Sheargrub has an orange body and a pair of large purple eyes, which helps to distinguish it from a normal Male Sheargrub apart from its sheer size.
