The Cosmic Snagret is a snavian that originates from beyond the Pikmin Planet. It is located and fought on the final sublevel of the Hole of Terrors, although how it got there remains a mystery. Befitting of its strange resemblance to the Pileated Snagret, the Cosmic Snagret has devastating attacks. In addition to simply eating Pikmin, the Cosmic Snagret can not only shoot a beam of pure starlight from its open beak that incinerates all Pikmin and inflicts severe damage to leaders in its path, but also produce black holes from its mouth that suck in anything not running in the opposite direction of their suction. Yellow Pikmin and White Pikmin are recommended for the battle as the former can be thrown higher and the latter can run faster to more easily dodge the snagret's attacks.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “I found this terrifying beast when venturing through a cave with all sorts of strange creatures. Although this creature looks very similar to the Pileated Snagret, on further analysis it is an entirely different species; from another world in fact. It is suggested that a sudden change in climate on their homeworld caused them to migrate to a warmer climate, such as the Pikmin Planet. The strange creature is extremely elusive due to it spending much of its time underground, however, this creature must be researched further in order to better understand its feeding and breeding methods.”
Louie's notes
- “When preparing a Cosmic Snagret, be wary to pluck all feathers off the body, as they contain high levels of toxic radiation. Then slowly grill for thirty minutes, garnish with herbs and serve with a side of vegetables. Bon appetite!”
