The Thermal Shroomtoise is a boss located in Deathbone Desert on Duron in Pikmin: Ultimate Doom. Its fiery nature suggests that it may have evolved a natural preference for shells with magma inside. Research shows that there is a symbiotic relationship between the fungus growing on the Thermal Shroomtoise and the shroomtoise itself. The Thermal Shroomtoise carries the fungus on its back, inside the well-protected magma shell. That being said, the boss has two phases, each with a health wheel. Both the shroomtoise and the fungus can attack Pikmin and captains with fire and poison attacks, respectively.
