Pikmin: Regrowth is a collaborative project being worked on by multiple users.
Story
After Olimar originally crashed on PNF-404, subsequently went back for debts that his incompetent company had gained, and the Koppaites went to ensure their food supply, the missions to the planet of the Pikmin became mainstream to the public of both worlds. Many companies and individuals became interested in researching, making a quick buck, or generally exploring the planet.
The President of Hocotate Freight, who is now rich, starts an expedition and assigns the now famous Captain Olimar to lead the it. The expedition team sets the ambitious goals of collecting as many items of interest as they can in order to study them, and to improve the lives of the people of Hocotate and Koppai. However, another private mission is to find Louie, a local employee for Hocotate Freight who was accidentally left behind on PNF-404.
When the crew of the new expedition gets to PNF-404, something goes horribly wrong. They would have arrived during the night, when the Master Onion for the Pikmin would go fly into low orbit, but one of the engines malfunctions. This malfunction causes the ship to collide with the Master Onion, splitting it into it's components. The crew, component Onions, and parts of the ship are scattered across the surface. It falls to Olimar to salvage the mission and bring his people home safely, and regrow the Pikmin population.
