Plot
After adding an unbreakable shield on the ship, Olimar and Louie go on the safest vacation in space. Nothing happens when an asteroid collides with their ship, but the ship eventually runs out of fuel and plummets toward PNF-404.

Pikmin
Aside from the new Pikmin species introduced, for the most part, the following act as they do in Pikmin 4.
- Red Pikmin – same.
- Yellow Pikmin – same.
- Blue Pikmin – same.
- Rock Pikmin – does more damage, and can instantly demolish gates by rolling into them.
- Winged Pikmin – maintains flight when thrown and is immune to poison.
- Moss Pikmin – can produce rotten gas that is highly damaging to enemies and can instantly kill Red Bulborbs.
