Story
After Captain Olimar's long time on PNF-404, Hocotate Freight's President has become hungrier for Pokos than ever. He sends Captain Olimar and Louie back to PNF-404 to retrieve more gold from the planet, with him demanding at least
× 1,000.
- Beginning
Captain Olimar and Louie enter the Lush Woods and look everywhere for any kind of Pikmin. They then get ambushed by a Bulborb, but some Red Pikmin come to defend them. Olimar smiles at them and the Pikmin wave to and follow their leader. Olimar then looks behind him, not seeing Louie. He walked off somewhere. The Red Pikmin show Olimar a great pile of gold, and next to it is their Onion, which Olimar uses to get more Red Pikmin to collect the gold with. Olimar then finds Louie next to a Big Bulborb. Olimar sends his Pikmin to attack it and defeats it, it dropping a giant piece of gold. After Olimar and Louie collect it, they head back to the ship and leave before dark.
- The Gold Hunt
Olimar, Louie, and the Pikmin go back to the Lush Woods in search of more gold. They don't find any, but they do find something else: an odd cube worth lots of Pokos! Olimar and Louie decide to find more of the cubes, nuggets, and pieces. They explore some more and collect more gold until they come across a Green Onion that holds the Grass Pikmin, and they collect more gold after that before leaving. Olimar and Louie go to many places: the Blossoming Arcadia, Perplexing Pool, Forest Navel, and even Hero's Hideaway, collecting more gold than ever and finding more Pikmin!
