The Skittercap is a skitterling protected by a tough acorn cap. The cap it hides under can be destroyed by directly hitting it with several thrown Rock Pikmin. However, defeating a Skittercap by flipping it over to expose its vulnerable body or by getting under its shell will result in its body weighing more but yielding more Pikmin seeds and Pokos than it would otherwise. It can grab up to three Pikmin at a time and eats one at a time. It can be found around other Skittercaps and acorn caps.
