The Calcifus Dweevil is a DLC enemy found in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The Dweevil is a small, grey creature covered in a coating of crystal. The main gimmick of this enemy is that it will shoot a substance at enemies which gives them crystal armor. The size of the armor depends on the size of the enemy; which way require multiple sprays of the substance to cover completely. The armor, if damaged, can be spat with the substance again to be repaired. A Calcifus Dweevil cannot repair its own armor. The substance can also encase up to 15 Pikmin and freeze them until the crystal is broken. It will shoot the substance every 5 seconds if the opportunity arises. The best way to kill a Calcifus Dweevil is by throwing Rock Pikmin at it to kill it very quickly.

The Calcifus Dweevil is a strange dweevil appearing in Pikmin: Dual Worlds. It can spit, from holes in its mandibles, a substance that covers what it hits in a strong, crystalline shell. The targets of this attack are mainly fellow dweevils, but also other enemies and Pikmin. Said shell only breaks after ten to thirty hits from Rock Pikmin, scaling up or down respectively for smaller and larger enemies, but after sufficient damage, almost all of the crystal coating will be destroyed. If a Calcifus Dweevil happens to be near an enemy it gave a crystal shell that is now damaged, it will spit more of the substance onto its crystal shell, repairing it. The liquid crystal produced by Calcifus Dweevils contains microbes that instinctively distribute themselves evenly along the surface area of a living creature they come into contact with; this is done to ensure that the affected living beings are covered as evenly as possible before the substance hardens, the microbes dying in the process. Calcifus Dweevils have to charge up their spitting attack for four seconds each time they use it.

In the case of the Elder Foundation Dweevil, the armor covering the gargantuan beast's legs is destroyed individually, each leg and the body having its own armor. When Spitball Dweevils and elemental dweevils are nearby, the Elder Foundation Dweevil becomes an extremely formidable and challenging opponent. When a Spitball Dweevil copies a Calcifus Dweevil, it turns light gray and spits balls of liquid crystal that effectively trap Pikmin in crystal, requiring Rock Pikmin to destroy. When repairing the leg armor of the Elder Foundation Dweevil, the crystal can become clumped around its legs and tapered legs.

Before damaging and destroying the crystal shell protecting an enemy that doesn't normally have one, kill any Calcifious Dweevils in their vicinity to prevent the battle against that enemy from lasting longer than is necessary. Calcifious Dweevils themselves can be killed almost as easily as other lesser dweevils, although the use of Rock Pikmin will be necessary if two Calcifious Dweevils had provided one another with a crystal coating.
