(**SPOILERS**) Description of the boss
The Ancient Sirehound is a giant space dog speculated to be the ancestor of all space dogs, including Oatchi and Moss. While thought to be rather gentle, Louie somehow drives it into a rampage, making it incredibly dangerous due to its size and its ability to use several hazards. Defeating the Ancient Sirehound involves pulling on its tail to make it flip over, exposing its vulnerable belly, as the rest of its body is covered in thick fur, and its attacks become more dangerous the lower its health dwindles. Upon defeat, depending on its locale, it may either run away, or simply fall asleep.

The beast starts the battle mainly by attacking with a forward charge, during which it can not turn very quickly but will eat Pikmin it runs into, and a jumping slam, causing stalactites to fall from the ceiling. It can also swipe at Pikmin that are too close to it.

In the second phase, the Ancient Sirehound may produce a spread of five bouncing snowballs, and a long-range ice breath attack. If it freezes any Pikmin, it will follow up with a charge in their direction. From this phase onward, Pikmin that touch any part of the Ancient Sirehound other than its tail will be afflicted with the hazard it is currently using.

In the third phase, the Ancient Sirehound will begin using electricity. It starts by spitting up three electrified hairballs that generate electricity in a spinning cross shape until they are destroyed. It may also perform a dash while electrified, then return to the arena's center to produce a set of electric fields around itself, during which it will be immobile. Starting from this phase, the Ancient Sirehound will hold its tail out of reach unless forced not to.

In the fourth phase, the Ancient Sirehound showcases its ability to use fire. It may spit fireballs, produce flaming shockwaves by stomping on the ground, and spit up burning hairballs that themselves produce flaming shockwaves.

In the fifth and final phase, the Ancient Sirehound, rather than immediately use any sort of hazard, inexplicably takes flight. It then lobs gloom projectiles that engulf a circular area in which they land, and can project a beam of gloom in a line towards Pikmin and leaders. At low health, the Ancient Sirehound will unleash a roar to panic Pikmin, and may quickly reposition itself to keep away from them and leaders.
