The Lesser Spotted Jellyfloat, also known as the Lesser Jellyfloat, resembles a large, blue, jellyfish with yellow spots that floats through the air. It attacks the Pikmin by inhaling them and trapping them inside. The Pikmin will then be digested over a considerably long period but can be saved by defeating it. Upon death, they swirl around the air and brilliantly explode in an array of small sparkling lights.

Notes
Olimar's observations
- “While these creatures may not seem all that powerful at first, they can ingest several Pikmin at once and slowly digest them. Once they got hold of a Pikmin we need to take it down ASAP! If not, the Pikmin won't make it back out alive...”
Cookin' with Louie
- “Similar in taste and texture to gelatin, this jiggling mass of jelly can be sculptured into all kinds of creative shapes. As a bonus, it also doubles as professional-grade hair gel. It's the perfect cool summer treat!”

They can inhale treasures or fruit that weigh 12 or fewer units. If they try to suck up anything heavier, they will become grounded.
Notes
Stevvy’s observations
- “Don’t underestimate these flying folks! They will suck up anything underneath them, be it treasure, fruit, or even Pikmin! Thankfully, they’re not that strong, so heavier objects will leave them grounded for good!”
Natti’s cookbook
- “The delicate innards of the Lesser Spotted Jellyfloat can be used for many purposes, such as making gelatin, hair gel, sunscreen, lip balm, shampoo… And that’s it, I think…”
