The Bogswallow hides in mud and reveals itself when Pikmin or leaders are in range, either when they are nearby or enter the mud itself, to inhale and eat them. Once it has inhaled enough Pikmin or has inhaled for long enough, it will swallow any Pikmin it managed to catch. It will continually attempt to inhale Pikmin unless they leave its range, at which point it will retreat back under the mud.

The Bogswallow is a slug-like creature in Pikmin: Before the Impact that primarily dwells in mud. When in range, the Bogswallow will reveal itself and either spit balls of mud or try to suck in Pikmin and leaders.
