The Puffstalk is a small, harmless relative of the Puffstool and is not much bigger than a leader. It is a docile creature that has no attacks, and its own means of defense is to disappear and reappear between various nearby holes. The Puffstalk is quick but it only has so many holes it can pop out of. It is fairly predictable in its patterns and can be taken out by simply hitting it with Pikmin whenever it reveals itself. A close relative of the Puffstalk, the Peacap Puffstalk, can walk around on land.
