Shearfleas are small creatures that idly wander around their territory until approached by Pikmin or leaders, whereupon they will hop towards and at them. If a Shearflea grabs a Pikmin, it will attempt to jump away from the nearest leader and then proceed to eat them, returning for more afterward. Shearfleas can also attach themselves to leaders and Oatchi, proceeding to attack them while also slowing them until they have been shaken off.

The Shearflea is a small red flea-like creature in Pikmin: Before the Impact that hops around. They can grab Pikmin and stab them, slowly killing them. They can also jump onto leaders and sap health from them. They are extremely frail, and will instantly die when a Pikmin is thrown on their back.
