The Creeping Bell returns in Pikmin 2... Again?. It has lost its ability to make Pikmin panic, with that trait now belonging to the Glass Bell, but can still awaken sleeping enemies and attract the attention of awake ones.

The Creeping Bell is a small, floating bell-shaped organism appearing in Pikmin: Dusk and Dawn. It is made out of a shiny, bronze material, and has a stem-like antenna with a spherical clapper that it slams against itself to create noise. While leaders aren't paying attention, it slips into a squad of Pikmin, following behind the leader in charge. Particularly focused or absentminded leaders may fail to recognize the infiltrator as its antenna looks much like a Pikmins' stem. When part of a squad near sleeping enemies, be they many weaker ones or few stronger ones, the Creeping Bell will suddenly and violently slam its clapper against itself, producing an insufferable clattering that both sends Pikmin into a panic awakening the sleeping enemies, and alerting any that are awake in a large radius. Afterward, it will fly off and disappear. The strong exterior of a Creeping Bell renders it impossible to harm, but whistling it at any point will scare it off, also causing it to fly away. A maximum of two Creeping Bells can be in a squad at any given moment. It is partially nocturnal, being more common at night, due to it being harder to see. Creeping Bells can not wake bosses.

- “The Creeping Bell is a species of Bronzabell that hunts for food in an unusual matter. Due to its bronze-like composition, its spherical tip, which is controlled by the creature, will be slammed onto its body, emitting extremely high frequencies that can wake larger predators. The Bronzabell species tends to only do this when other smaller prey are near. Once those prey have been killed and eaten by predators, the Bronzabells will go and have their share of the kill. Creeping Bronzabells tend to stay around organisms in the grub-dog classification.

The Creeping Bell in Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid resembles its Pikmin: Dusk and Dawn incarnation, but is brighter in color, has a stouter bell shape, and has an orange stripe around its eye area. They fall in line with Pikmin squads and remain inconspicuous until certain enemies are approached. If they have not yet been alerted by the Pikmin's presence, the Creeping Bell will let out a cacophonous ringing noise by slamming its antenna-like clapper onto its bell. This will alert nearby enemies, which is especially troubling if those enemies are particularly large like the Mallet Fish. Once they're done ringing, they will fly off and disappear. A leader can use their whistle to scare off the Creeping Bell.

- “This creature is so abstract it's almost absurd – a floating, bell-shaped organism made entirely out of brass with no visible organic components. Lacking significant digestive tract necessities like teeth, the creeping bell is incapable of hunting for its own food. Instead, it's a scavenger that lets other predators do the work for it. It often lingers behind creatures passing by, and when crossing paths with other predators, the creeping bell uses its clapper to create an intense noise that alerts said predators to the prey's location. After the predators are done with their prey, the creeping bell will siphon any remaining flesh and other edible matter from the grisly remains.”
