Glow pellet
Object

A glow pellet is an object used to propagate Glow Pikmin during night expeditions. They resemble glowing rocks in the shape of konpeitō, and bringing three of them to a Lumiknoll will generate one new Glow Pikmin.

Glow pellet
Use Propagates Glow Pikmin

Glow pellets are a returning object in Pikmin 2... Again?. They resemble konpeitos and can be light blue, red, or yellow. Due to there not being any normal pellets or active Pellet Posies during the night, glow pellets replace the pellets from the day. Glow pellets have a similar use to pellets, being brought to the Lumiknoll, making it produce one Glow Pikmin per three glow pellets. Glow pellets are found mostly in piles, but can also appear in place of a defeated enemy, whereupon its corpse disappears. Whether an enemy drops glow pellets depends mostly on its size and strength, which also correlates with how many glow pellets it drops. Additionally, glow pellets appear over time, especially if there are few Glow Pikmin on the field.

A giant glow pellet.

In Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid, glow pellets are similar to how they are in Pikmin 4. They're how Glow Pikmin are propagated in night expeditions, either from piles or Glowy Posies. Giant glow pellets can be carried by five Glow Pikmin to produce fifteen instantly. Darkstar Splurchins sometimes replicate giant glow pellets.
