The Frozen Goolix is a species of cell puddle in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. It resembles a Goolix, with a blue, watery body, a white nucleus split into four segments, and a dark blue nucleus. As its name suggests, it's completely frozen over, and now has a solid form instead of a liquid one. The Frozen Goolix is also a brighter blue compared to the typical Goolix.
The Frozen Goolix will remain completely still, as it cannot attack at all. However, only Ice Pikmin can damage it, as any other Pikmin type will be frozen solid when they try to engage the goolix. When broken, the creature will release its nuclei to be collected. However, if the Goolix ends up near any source of heat, like a fire starter, lava, or fire geyser, then they will melt back into a Goolix. Enemies with fiery properties can also melt the goolix with their heat. Because of this, the Frozen Goolix will usually be found around these sources of heat.
Defeating a Frozen Goolix can be easy or difficult. If melted, Blue Pikmin should be used to take down the creature, using the strategies against the Goolix. If the goolix is frozen, however, Ice Pikmin can easily destroy it, allowing for an easy source of seeds. Fire-resistant Pikmin can take out any fire sources heating the Frozen Goolix if no Blue Pikmin are available.
In Overlord mode, the Frozen Goolix melts much faster.

- “As its name suggests, this is a Goolix, completely frozen over. Now one would think that the cell puddle was frozen over by the cold climates it faced, but that's been disproven, as it has been found in warmer climates. The truth is, the Goolix lowers its own body temperatures through the expulsion of liquid nitrogen from its nuclei, which allows for it to become as solid as ice. This allows for the Goolix to hibernate, and remain stationary and safe from predators. Due to their very low metabolism, they can remain in hibernation for months.”

The Frozen Goolix is, as its name would suggest, a member of the cell puddle family, presumably a Goolix, that has frozen over. It is harmless and immobile, and although its nuclei are encased in solid ice they are worth Pikmin seeds, and Pokos. The Frozen Goolix is invincible unless Cyan Pikmin are used to pick away at and destroy it, and therefore grant access to its nuclei.
