The Cryogenic Ticka is an enemy in Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid, it resembles an Explosive Ticka, but with blue skin and yellow veins that makes it resemble an ice blast. Its eyes and mouth are also lavender-colored. Like their more dangerous counterpart, they'll lie in wait, disguised as an ice blast with nothing but a single tail sticking upwards. When approached, they'll creep towards leaders and Pikmin until they explode, freezing all leaders, Pikmin, enemies, and water caught in the blast. A standard bomb rock will instantly kill a Cryogenic Ticka without freezing them.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Although the morphology is similar to the explosive ticka, this creature's internal blood substitute uses ammonia in place of sulfuric acid. This causes it to function as a coolant, as it cannot usually survive outside of colder environments. The methane remains in its body, meaning it's still volatile and should be approached with caution.

Louie's notes

It's like the explosive ticka, but instead of burning the tissue in your body off, it will freezer burn it instead. Also freezes everything in your body, meaning you won't be able to hold much in you afterwards. Now I'm constipated...

Bentley's notes

This creature should just mind its own business. It takes less energy to rest than to prod around... and you won't die.

Eloise's notes

Now I feel really bad! This creature is so cute, and yet it goes so quickly!? I wish it didn't have to live in such a way...
