The Mammoth Snootwhacker is a larger, matured Miniature Snootwhacker. It has skin thick enough to prevent most attacks, much like its younger version, and can crush non-Rock Pikmin with the weight of its trunk. These attacks pose a greater threat and larger range given the increased size. It takes two charges from Oatchi to flip, as only one will simply stun it instead of exposing the belly, its weak point.

Melon is the Mammoth Snootwhacker that appears in Pikmin: Antarctic Survival. Melon is the mother of Bumpy the Miniature Snootwhacker, and both of them live in the Trampled Tundra.
Melon is sweet and motherly, and loves her son Bumpy. She freely lets Bumpy roam around the Trampled Tundra, and then the Diamond Settlement and Chilly Valley once both Snootwhackers are Awakened. Melon does not discourage her son from his love of exploring, and she mentions having a similar love of adventure in her younger years. Melon is very careful in telling her son which areas are safe to explore, though, informing him of the dangers of the Otherworldly Woods to the east and the Ancestral Hunting Ground to the west.
Melon enjoys the taste of vegetables, which have been her favorite foods since she was young. She also often eats Pikmin when she can catch them, saying that they are the "tastiest vegetables there are." She also enjoys sports, mainly those involving using her trunk to toss or hit small objects such as balls and discs. She often plays these types of games with Bumpy, who she always lets win despite her being incredibly skilled at such activities. Bumpy has no idea his mother is letting him win, and feels bad that his mom never seems to win when they play catching and throwing games together.
Melon is, of course, named after the melon, a fruit which the Mammoth Snootwhacker highly resembles. Melon mentions that her name is actually short for "Melanie", and that "Melon" is just a nickname.
