Toady Bloysters are slug-like creatures that creep along the ground in search of food, and upon discovering Pikmin, they emit a loud call reminiscent to that of a cow calf, then lash out their pseudopodia-like tentacles. Any Pikmin hit by the tentacles stick, and are ingested if the bloyster is not killed before it can finish chewing. ==Notes==
In Pikmin Forever, Toady Bloysters have an appearance much like they do in p3, except a bit bigger. Each bloyster has different tail markings, with one bloyster having reddish streaks on its orange tail and another having a yellow hue with a yellow spiral mark on its orange tail. Pikmin can be thrown onto its body and latch onto it, attacking it, but if enough Pikmin are thrown onto its tail, they weigh down its tail until it touches the ground, making the tail jerk violently upwards, launching the Pikmin everywhere and hitting the Toady Bloyster on its back, doing massive damage to it in the process. Twenty to forty normal Pikmin or two to four Purple Pikmin can weigh down its tail, though this depends on each specimen. Toady Bloysters will generally stay in moist areas like ponds and can be lured to other areas. They can climb up ledges, and leave a trail of slime where ever they go. These enemies can migrate in some areas in groups of one to four to a total of three locations on each large map. When defeated, they will drop their tail before shrinking down considerably, about the size of a pellet, and take on a burnt brown coloration and appear crisp. Their tail gives 5 metal or 10 Pikmin. Their body will only give 5 Pikmin and cannot be salvaged for metal.

The Toady Bloyster is a mollusking that appears in Pikmin: Wide World, and bears remarkable physical and behavioral similarities to the Ranging Bloyster. It can be found exploring a small territory, typically alone, either on dry land or in water of any depth. When on dry land, a Toady Bloyster leaves behind a visible slime trail as it moves, which disappears shortly after being formed. As it explores, it occasionally stops in place to idle before continuing on its way. Its tail periodically quivers or sways, whether it is moving or in place. Toady Bloysers ignore leaders and Pikmin near it unless they linger directly in front of it for some moments, where it will moo and then lash out its slender, branching tongue to attempt to eat them. Any leaders it pulls into its mouth will be chewed up, swallowed, and then forcefully spat out, taking damage as they are chewed and spat out. As leaders are swallowed along with any Pikmin in the creature's mouth, Pikmin cannot be saved unless the creature is killed before it can swallow them. Additionally, leaders, Pikmin, and some enemies can walk up onto the back of a Toady Bloyster, although it will eventually shake them off if they stay on top of it.

The Toady Bloyster appears almost exactly as it did in p3, but retains some physical elements it had in p2 and has undergone other, various changes to its appearance. As always, the Toady Bloyster is a large, pink, slug-like creature with a plant-like tail terminating in a large, gill-bulb. Each Toady Bloyster's body has a unique pattern of dark purple pattern that overlays its slimy, vivid pink body, much like in Pikmin 2, although they do not swirl and move around. The edges of its body taper to an edge instead of a rounded end. Its wide, gaping mouth contains a single, blue, slender tentacle that branches off into six separate tentacles. Its tail is green, and the bulb on the end of it is spherical in shape, light beige in color, and speckled. It has small, black, beady eyes mounted on short, thin eyestalks. Its eyestalks have red rims. Its tail-bulb does not change color upon death.

Toady Bloysters are passive creatures, and they don't go out of their way to attack Pikmin and leaders, although they will not pass up the opportunity to feed on them. As such, battles against Toady Bloysters are often initiated by leaders. Attacking a Toady Bloyster's gill-bulb will inflict the most damage to it, and attacking its body will inflict much less damage. Throwing Purple Pikmin onto its back, however, will inflict much damage to the creature. Unlike in Pikmin 3, a Toady Bloyster will not squirt ink to deter its attackers, and will instead violently shake them off. Upon death, a Toady Bloyster's body will stiffen up and shrink dramatically, adopting a dried and shriveled appearance, and its remains can be carried by its tail-bulb. Also upon death, it yields 3. Aboveground, its remains can be taken to either the Dolphin Lander for 4 or the Master Onion for fifteen Pikmin seeds. Underground, its remains can be carried to the Lander Pod to gain either 4 or fifteen Pikmin seeds of any chosen discovered main type from the Master Onion, but only if the cave is exited using an escape geyser.

As slow as they may be, a Toady Bloyster is capable of causing a very large and sudden drop in the number of Pikmin a leader has at their disposal, should they be careless enough to allow the creature the chance.

Its weak spot is a gill-like organ on its back. Although its body can be attacked for lesser damage in Pikmin 3, in the previous game, only the bulb can be attacked, even though it's possible to attack the body using Purple Pikmin. When it receives heavy damage, it shakes its tail and throws away any Pikmin hanging on to it in Pikmin 2, but merely ejects ink in Pikmin 3. This ink can temporarily and non-fatally choke any nearby Pikmin, but those hanging on the bulb will not be affected. In Pikmin 2, it has seven distinct tentacles, whereas in the sequel, it has one that splits into six.
