Drones are a returning obstacle appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. They resemble their Pikmin 4 incarnation, resembling drones with a platform on them. They move vertically, horizontally, up and down, but they also get the ability to move diagonally. Aditionally, each drone has a unique color that shows in what style it moves, yellow for vertically, blue for horizontally, red for up and down, and green for diagonally. Some drones can be controlled through remote controlls, specifically on alternate sublevels which the leader has to step on the buttons to send the Pikmin on the drone to to sticker.
