The Strike Whirlywhelk is a species of boss sneramic appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. It resembles the Bowling Whirlywhelk, only much larger and with an angry expression, sharp-tipped feeding tentacles, and most strikingly, its shell is colored red with yellow and orange markings shaped like generic explosions. The Strike Whirlywhelk only appears in pool-table-themed sublevels. Upon spotting Pikmin and leaders, it'll use its tentacles to push itself forward and roll quickly, and the force of it hitting billiard balls causes them to roll faster and longer than if the Bowling Whirlywhelk did. This makes it extremely dangerous if it impacts billiard balls, due to how it and they can crush Pikmin and leaders. Rock Pikmin merely embedded into the ground, a state they can escape from on their own. The Strike Whirlywhelk can also use its feeding tentacles to impale and eat Pikmin and will be damaged upon eating White Pikmin. Damaging the Strike Whirlywhelk involves throwing Rock Pikmin at it to gradually knock it back into a red pocket, as knocking it into a black pocket will simply cause it to appear elsewhere in the area. Once it falls into a red pocket, the Strike Whirlywhelk will jump out to the center of the pool table in a panic, where it will extended its eyestalks from its shell for some moments, rendering the creature vulnerable. At critical health, the Strike Whirlywhelk's shell will shatter apart, revealing its true body, which resembles a yellow slug. Like this, the creature it harmless and will slowly flee until defeated.

Notably in the Cave Creator, a Strike Whirlywhelk that is placed in a non-pool sublevel theme will sweat, and have noticeable difficulty rolling, struggling to roll forward and coming to a quick stop. This is a unique reaction seen nowhere else but also occurs with enemies made to be in a specific theme.
