The Goolin is a species of goolix appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is unique for not being a boss, unlike other species of goolixes. The Goolin resembles a smaller Goolix, but its two nuclei are closer together, like eyes, especially due to the Goolin being smaller. The Goolin moves around its territory, minding its own business even if Pikmin and leaders approach. However, if a Pikmin touches the Goolin, the Pikmin will be absorbed and trapped within it. The Pikmin won't drown or die, but can only be freed once the Goolin splatters apart upon death. The Goolin's most inconvenient trait is that it can also absorb fragments, cell buttons, and other small, essential objects that a single Pikmin can carry.
The Goolin is heavily inspired by the Goobers from Hoggy 2.
