The Monster Sewerat is a species of numbouse appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. It first appears in the Meadow of Memory in the Tunnel of Horror. They are large guinea pig-like creatures resembling the Bearded Amprat and covered entirely in thick fur that is gray, messy, and dirty and covering their mouth. They also have red eyes and four red, frog-like legs. Their front legs have four toes, and the back legs have two toes. It will swim through the toxic water of its habitat before it jumps out, where it'll be covered in poison and chase Pikmin and leaders, eating Pikmin and biting leaders it catches. Only White Pikmin and Glow Pikmin can damage it in this state, as all other types will be poisoned by the toxic water on it. After some seconds, its poison will dissipate and it'll move at a normal pace. However, whenever it shakes Pikmin off, it will splash water droplets around itself, drowning Pikmin except Blue Pikmin and Glow Pikmin, and its fur becomes fluffy; after this, it'll chase Pikmin and leaders again. The Monster Sewerat is more aggressive than the Bearded Amprat, making it a formidable foe.

The Monster Sewerat is inspired by the generic sewer rats, which are commonly depicted as gray rats that live in sewers, usually being shown with messy fur, in contrast to the domestic rats. Opposite to the Bearded Amprat.
