The Froggy Long Legs is a rather unique amphibious boss arachnorb in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is initially encountered at the Serene Pond, and later refought in the Final Challenge. It resembles most other arachnorbs, being a giant spider-like creature and the size of the Baldy Long Legs. Its mouth is positioned vertically rather than horizontally and contains a long, pink tongue. Its four legs are scaly and dark green, coming from the top of the Froggy Long Legs' body, ending in three separated toes resembling those of a lily-trotter. Each of its toes has nails and its feet are rather defined compared to those of other arachnorbs. The Froggy Long Legs is incapable of crushing Pikmin, but can walk on lily pads with ease. Its most distinguishing feature is its tongue, which it can spin around or flick out to eat Pikmin below. The Froggy Long Legs will only walk on lily pads and can briefly make them sink into the water they float on by pushing down on them, making them unusable until they resurface. Lastly, the creature doesn't shake Pikmin off; it instead prefers to eat them off itself, making whistling them off before it can do so critical to winning the fight.
In its creation process, the Froggy Long Legs started as an odd arachnorb with no feet, similar to the Man-at-Legs, but the ends of its legs were sharp enough that they could impale Pikmin. However, it already had its tongue and its notable abdomen, so it was given its name because of its tongue. The early concept of the Froggy Long Legs is mentioned in the Piklopedia as the "Spiny Long Legs".

This species evolved from the long-extinct Spiny Long Legs, an odd species, they evolved into the Froggy Long Legs due to places with water having more food.”
