The Sourpop Bug is a gloomus in Pikmin 2... Again?. It appears just like its Pikmin: Exotic World incarnation, but differs in behavior due to the absence of bloom pods. It buries itself in the ground with only the top of its body, specifically its flower-like structure, visible, vaguely resembling a dark-petaled candypop bud. When Pikmin or leaders approach closely enough, the Sourpop Bug will come out of the ground, attempting to eat them and periodically spring wither around itself.

The Gloom Bug is a gloomus in Pikmin: Exotic World that uses camouflage to its advantage. It disguises itself as a bloom pod to surprise prey, such as Pikmin. They can use their mandibles to grab and eat Pikmin, as well as kill them by firing gloom projectiles from the top of their head.
