Customization is a permanent feature in Pikmin 2... Again?, introduced in The Amazing New Update!!. It allows the player to customize the main menu, HUD, and even their own leaders and Pikmin through skins, which are bought with blue sparklium. Skins are purely cosmetic and generally do not affect gameplay unless one's appearance is similar to another's. However, Error_Pikmin and Error_Captain are made to challenge players, making them unable to know which Pikmin and leader they are using due to them looking identical no matter what they are used on.

Originally, Customization was planned to be a prank mode, turning the Pikmin into Walking Pikmin when content was being planned. It was then expanded, making Walking Pikmin the first reskin to be added.
== | ==Overview== | ||
The customization | The customization screen is found in the main menu by swiping left, sending the player to the customization shop. The customization shop is split into two categories, edits and reskins, with even more categories under them. For edits, they are visual edits, sound effects, and effect edits, and for reskins, they are Pikmin and leaders. Both are bought with blue sparklium, permanently unlocking them.
The customization gallery is found at the top center of the customization shop. Swiping it down leads to the selection menu, showing five options: visual edits, sound edits, effect edits, Pikmin, and leaders. Visual edits allow changing the color of the main menu's background, among other things, and sound edits enable swapping music for others, and effect edits are like sound edits but for sound effects. As for Pikmin and leaders, every discovered one will be shown and every one yet to be discovered will be hidden, to avoid spoilers. Clicking on a Pikmin or leader will show a list of every owned reskin for them, where they can be selected. Clicking on the "i" icon of the Pikmin or leader's skin shows a description of it.

This article or section pertains to Pikmin 2... Again?, a fanon game created by Blower Pot. |

Overview
The customization screen is found in the main menu by swiping left, sending the player to the customization shop.
Gallery
The Customization Gallery lists every reskin and edit, giving each a description as well as listing their color. It is shown when swiping up on the customization shop, being found on the top-down.
Edits
Visual edits
Visual edits allow the player to change the color of the main menu, HUD, map, and other features, and also be able to give effects to them, such as turning the Beeping Beeper into an alarm siren, and more.
There are also pre-made palettes for changing the color of the main menu background and HUD, as shown below:

Effect edits
|
Effect edits allow the player to choose different sound effects.
Reskins
Reskins are a main customization feature allowing the player to customize the appearance of their Pikmin and captains. Each skin also has an optional, unique voice.
Pikmin
These reskins are for Pikmin, changing their appearance. If one's color and appearance are too similar to another Pikmin's, a warning will appear, mentioning specifically the conflicting skins and asking if the player is sure.
