Obstacle |
Switches, also known as buttons, are useful obstacles that may deactivate, clear, or change the functions of certain mechanisms when pressed. They can appear as a singular button that will stay down when pressed or a pair of buttons that can be toggled freely. The color of the two-button switch varies depending on the context it is used in.

Buttons are obstacles in Pikmin 2... Again?. They work exactly like in Pikmin 4, but have a variant, a green button with a white number display and only temporarily activates or deactivates mechanisms, the number display acting as a timer in seconds. Buttons can also be used to clear metal gates. Wires visually connect buttons to their associated mechanisms, more easily seen from the radar.
