Black Pikmin (黒ピクミン) are the tenth Pikmin discovered in Pikmin 8: The World Beyond. They are resistant to darkness and cast light to keep it at bay. In place of a leaf, bud, or flower, they have a lightbulb-like structure on the end of their stem. When given nectar, their light range will increase, making it much easier to see in the dark.

Their leaves, buds, and flowers are shaped like those of maple trees and thus point upwards.
