Figworts are tall, flowering plants used as scenery. In Pikmin 1, figwort plants sport bright blue flowers. In Pikmin 2, figwort blossoms have a deep pinkish hue, and dead figworts possess pale or red-orange leaves and lack flowers. In Pikmin 3, only the blue figwort plant appears.

In Pikmin 1, touching certain figwort clusters will cause a swarm of tiny black bugs to emerge from them. They briefly fly around and then quickly retreat, and can not be specifically interacted with. In Pikmin 2, figworts may conceal larger creatures such as Doodlebugs or Unmarked Spectralids.

The Figwort is a plant found in Pikmin: Scratched Puzzles. If a leader were to disturb it, a swarm of small insects known as Figrunners scatter from it before disappearing. They can be stepped on, but it doesn't do anything besides delay their departure. The Figwort can also be used to hide from airborne enemies, but not enemies that wander along the ground. In Stage Maker, the Figwort can be either pink or white, but the Figworts appearing in the Sandbox City are only pink.
