The Miniature Snootwhacker is a young Mammoth Snootwhacker. Its only attack is to use its trunk to perform a spinning attack, flinging Pikmin and leaders that are too close to it up and away. Due to its tough skin, it is immune to most physical attacks from Pikmin, even Rock Pikmin, but is unable to kill them. Its belly is its weak point, but it can only be exposed by charging at it with Oatchi to flip it over. Upon righting itself soon afterward, it will knock any Pikmin attacking it off and away.

Bumpy is the Miniature Snootwhacker that appears in Pikmin: Antarctic Survival. Bumpy is native to the Trampled Tundra, where he lives with his mother, Melon. Bumpy loves to romp around the Trampled Tundra, and often is quite far from his mother due to his love of exploring. When Bumpy's mother is looking for him, she makes a loud trumpeting sound to get his attention and call him to her location. Otherwise, Bumpy runs around the Trampled Tundra on his own, protected from the dangerous creatures due to his thick hide.
Bumpy loves sweet foods such as nectar, and likes fruit, but does not like vegetables, which he says are gross. After being Awakened, Bumpy is quite friendly to most residents of the Diamond Settlement and will run up to greet them and talk, but he is scared of creatures from the Otherworldly Woods, which is a place that his mother has taught him is very dangerous. He is also terrified of the Ancient Sirehound from the Ancestral Hunting Ground, another area he has been taught to avoid.
Bumpy's name is a reference to Lumpy, a stuffed elephant who is one of the main characters of Pooh's Heffalump Movie, the favorite movie of the creator of Pikmin: Antarctic Survival. Bumpy's name also refers to his bumpy hide.
