Louie's only known family members are his grandmother, father, and an aunt. Near the end of [[Pikmin 2]], the same e-mails are repeatedly received from his grandmother; they say:

Three members of '''[[Louie]]'s family''' are alluded to: his father, his aunt, and his grandmother. All of them seem to be quite fond of bugs.


The only way to stop the repeating e-mails is to rescue [[Louie]] from the [[Dream Den]]. Afterwards, she will send different messages every once in a while. She is only seen through these e-mails, so it is impossible to meet her.  She mentions Louie's father in other e-mails, saying that Louie should visit him when he returns to [[Hocotate]].
Louie's grandmother shows a lot of love for Louie, as well as a lot of concern when he is missing. She describes fond memories of Louie as a boy and how bugs loved him, or rather, loved biting him. She also talks about how she made Louie eat bugs and how he loves [[pikpik carrot]]s, and she apparently sends preserved bug food. After all the [[treasure]]s have been collected, Louie's grandmother sends one final message, in which she shows her pride in how Louie has become an "extraordinary man". It appears as though she is not alone, given how at one point she uses the term "we" in one of her messages.

Louie's father has no known personality and is mentioned only briefly in a message from Louie's grandmother:


An aunt is mentioned in one e-mail from the President: apparently Louie's aunt left some cookies, and the President ate them all. Some believe that Louie's grandmother seen in the e-mails is in fact his aunt.
