The Dwarf Jellyfloat is a tiny, and very rare, species of jellyfloat appearing in Pikmin Z. It resembles a smaller jellyfloat with a purple hue. It sings a faint, high-pitched song, though normally it isn't clearly audible. It is harmless towards leaders and Pikmin and is mainly an ambient creature as it doesn't offer much of anything when killed. Much like its diet, its predators are unknown.

The Pygmy Jellyfloat is an ancient jellyfloat species appearing in Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator. Unlike its relatives, it is not airborne; it is a mud-dwelling creature about the size of a Wollywog that lurches about in it to navigate towards Pikmin to inhale and eat. When enough Pygmy Jellyfloats are killed, a much larger, and rare, variant named the Oxymoron Jellyfloat will reveal itself. The Oxymoron Jellyfloat is named as such because it is a giant Pygmy Jellyfloat. The Oxymoron Jellyfloat is capable of inhaling many more Pikmin at a time due to its size, and ultra-bitter spray is useful against it. The optimal strategy against either size of the creature is to stand back and throw Pikmin onto it, call them back once the creature is about to shake them off, and repeat. When the Oxymoron Jellyfloat is defeated, its corpse can be recovered for sixty-five Pikmin seeds at an Onion.
