The Nectar Goolix is a small, yellow cell puddle appearing in Pikmin: Rise of the Plantae. It is made of nectar, and within its membrane is a fragile nucleus that may be yellow, representing nectar, red, representing ultra-spicy spray, or purple, representing ultra-bitter spray. Nectar Goolixes may be found by destroying eggs, which Mitites also inhabit, and after being revealed, a Nectar Goolix will travel about, its nucleus floating about its body. After six seconds since being freed, one serving of nectar will be subtracted from itself every three seconds, and after thirty seconds have passed only its nucleus will remain, effectively killing the creature. As such, killing a Nectar Goolix as soon as possible provides the most benefits. A Nectar Goolix can be defeated simply by throwing a Pikmin directly on top of it or hitting it with a leader's fist, and doing either will cause it to become an ordinary drop of nectar. Additionally, upon death, depending on the color of its nucleus, the creature may yield sprays or additional nectar.
