The Empress Bulblax is a grub-dog matriarch appearing in Pikmin: Redemption. It is the Spotty Bulbear counterpart of the Empress Bulblax and is more difficult than it, but not as formidable as the Orange Empress Bulblax. Alongside having the typical bulbear features, it is larger than the Empress Bulblax and wears armor made of tree bark. Its attacks consist of headbutting the ground or biting the area in front of it, and rolling from side to side across its chamber. Depending on where it is found, it can birth Bulbear Larvae, cause boulders to fall from above upon colliding with a wall, or both.

Notes

Olimar's notes

The Empress Bulbear is a very curious creature. Despite the laws of physics making it impossible for this creature to exist, it boldly defies them. Recent studies have shown that its ant- or bee-like body structure is specifically designed to hold this creature's massive reproductive system that can release larva as needed by the pack's alpha male, the Emperor Bulbear, which is almost always around the Empress Bulbear. This creature is very useful to teachers who specialize in alien biology because it shows almost perfectly the special adaptations that the grub-dog family uses to survive. Maybe when I finally get home I could sell some of these specimens and make a fortune.

Louie's notes

Remains are not suitable for cooking. Any extreme heat or cold on the body after 48 hours shatters the creature into millions of tiny pieces. I like Olimar's idea of what to do with these better.
