Pellet Posers in Pikmin V are distinguishable from Pellet Posies by the number on the pellet. A Pellet Poser's pellet will have only a white line down the middle, as the pellet is actually the creature's eye. The rest of the Pellet Poser's biology is similarly shifted from the Creeping Chrysanthemum: its mouth is on its stomach, which it can eat Pikmin with by sweeping them up using the leafy arms it has instead of root-like stalks. The other roots on its bottom side are tougher and extend out to form walkable legs, like a spider's, though it is not particularly fast.

Notes

Brittany's notes

Given the ubiquity of the Pellet Posy, it's not surprising that there's a mimic trying to abuse it. The eye is covered with a special, glossy film that even feels like the crystallized nectar of a Pellet Posy, though, of course, the main purpose is to protect it when prey falls for its ruse and latches on. This does mean that the Pellet Poser has no symbiosis with real Posies like that of the Creeping Crysanthemum, in a strange case of convergent evolution of members of the same genus.

Olimar's notes

The main difference between the Posy and the Poser is that the 1 on the latter lacks the diagonal mark at the top, as it is actually the Poser's pupil. The pupil is not sensitive like a Bulborb's eye is. Unlike its Creeping relative, its mouth is on its stomach, so it is safer to keep a distance and strafe it.
