Appearance in Pikmin 2.

An electrical wire is an obstacle appearing as a pair of severed wires protruding from the ground. At regular intervals, an arc of electricity spans from one wire to its pair. Attacking either of the wires until they are destroyed will prevent them from generating sparks or an electric current.

Below this point is where users place their version of electrical wires.

Electrical wires appear in Pikmin: Infection in Progress, mainly at Fungal Grotto and in the Abandoned Laboratory. Individual electrical wires can protrude from any surface and either one in a pair may be active or inactive. If one electrical wire in a pair is active and the other is not, the active one will still occasionally spark, remaining a threat. This obstacle is best eliminated by Yellow Pikmin because of their resistance to electricity.
