The Monochrome Pinchipede is a long centipede-like creature with huge serrated pincers and looks very similar to the Emperor Pinchipede, only here it is colored white. It also has increased speed and health. Like other similar mechanical enemies with weak points, it can only be damaged using Bomb rocks, Rock Pikmin, or a similar Pikmin due to its crystal-like weak points. It cannot be stunned with bomb rocks, much like Emperor Pinchipede. The Monochromatic Pinchipede is fought in almost the same way as the Emperor Pinchipede is fought. Begin the fight by targeting the smaller segments of its body, which have significantly more health than the larger ones. Presumably, this is because the larger weak points double as spinning spiked tops that circle the arena. Once the smaller portions are destroyed, quickly remove the larger, more threatening weak points, which should be easier due to their smaller health pool. After all of the portions are destroyed, the larger spinning sections will stop, and retract back to their original place on the Monochromatic Pinchipede. The Monochromatic Pinchipede will now pull itself backward and charge up an attack, which reveals its last weak point located on its head. Use this opportunity to dish out as much damage as possible. It will flip over to its black side and rampage across the arena, trying to corner and crush Leaders and Pikmin with its gaping mandibles. After a few seconds, it will start to slow down, indicating it will start to charge up its attack again. Once the head's weak point reaches a quarter of its health, all segments will fling away from the Monochrome Pinchipede and spin around the arena. Avoid the spinning bladed segments, and wait for the Monochromatic Pinchipede's head to charge. Dodge its attack and begin attacking its weak point. The Monochromatic Pinchipede will now constantly chomp its mandibles during this phase. When the Monochromatic Pinchipede dies, its head will explode, much like the Emperor Pinchipede.
The Monochromatic Pinchipede is a long creature composed of eleven segments alternating in size, with nine of them having a glassy weakpoint exposed initially, and essentially acting as a more difficult variant of the Emperor Pinchipede, having higher health and speed. On the front of its head segment is a pair of large serrated mandibles that it actively opens and snaps shut, killing Pikmin and severely injuring leaders in its path as it rolls about its territory. Occasionally, the Monochromatic Pinchipede flips itself over to reveal its black underside, covering all of its weakpoints and exposing its spikes as it rampages about before flipping over again to return to normal. While the smaller segments simply disappear after their weakpoint is destroyed, the larger segments become independent from the Monochromatic Pinchipede to move slowly about the arena, spinning wildly with spikes exposed. After all of its weak points are destroyed, the creature will recall all of its segments. Now, whenever it is in direct line of sight of leaders and Pikmin, it will compress its body segments, reveal its spikes, expose its head's weakpoint, and then launch itself forward. It then follows up by rampaging, then slowing down to prepare another compression attack. After its head's weakpoint is three-fourths of the way destroyed, the segments will be flung away from the creature's head, which will begin relentlessly charging at Pikmin and leaders the bite them. Fortunately, at this point, its only weakpoint is constantly exposed. Upon defeat, it will slow down, come to a stop, and then explode.
